Peter Rabbit's: Little Guide to Life
Published in Hardcover by Frederick Warne & Co (October, 1998)
Average review score:

Everyone Should Read This Book! This little guidebook should be required reading for all of us! With humor and tongue-in-cheek advice for everyday situations in our lives, you'll be charmed and entertained as you read. What a great little book to add to a newborn's library, or slip in a Christmas stocking ~ the messages are clear, based on common sense, and can be applied to any age group. "Prudent people plan for the future, like Timmy Tiptoes and his wife. Though you may not need a hoard of acorns, it is highly sensible to place your money in a bank. A savings account will allow you to cope with sudden expenses and to treat yourself on a rainy day." "The importance of saying 'please' before you take something cannot be stressed enough. Pushing and grabbing is impertinent behaviour, inexcusable even in a rabbit. Similarly, when someone gives you a present or performs a favour, always remember to say 'thank you.' These short little words speak volumes." If you love Beatrix Potter, or Peter Rabbit strikes a memory cord, you'll enjoy this wonderful book and want to share it with others. It gets five stars from this reader!

Phase Diagrams in Metallurgy: Their Development and Applications
Published in Textbook Binding by McGraw Hill Text (December, 1956)
Average review score:

A good place to start learning on Phase DiagramsThe language used by Rhines is very close and kind for the reader with a minimal foundation on inorganic or materials chemistry, transforming a very "heavy" subject in a simple manner and easy of being understood even for those who, like me, have to make a total professional transition towards a subject in which one has never stepped on.
It is a great pitty and loss that, on the contrary to what happens to famous "Classics"such as Reed-Hill and Sir Allan Cottrell, this book was never revised nor re-printed since its first and last year of publishing. I hope more books such like this one remain still for sale whatever is the state in which it is found.

The Philosophy and Practice of Wildlife Management
Published in Hardcover by Krieger Publishing Company (February, 1992)
Average review score:

Recommended reading for students of wildlife managementNow in a substantially revised, updated and expanded third edition, Frederick Gilbert and Donald Dodds' The Philosophy And Practice Of Wildlife Management continues to be very highly recommended reading for students of wildlife management, wildlife preservationist and management professionals, as well as hunters, fishermen, and animal rights activists. American and Canadian systems and examples showcase diverse philosophies and practices of wildlife management on both public and private lands, in addition to chapters dealing specifically with Native American land claims and rights to wildlife resources, the effects of parasites and diseases on wildlife populations, endangered species, species management, environmental impact assessment, socioeconomic issues, management approaches, legislation, and jurisdiction. Of particularly interest is the discussion of wildlife problems associated with less developed countries and the introduction to international wildlife concerns. The Philosophy And Practice Of Wildlife Management is an essential, core title in any personal, academic, or professional wildlife management reference collection.

Physics I (Test Yourself)
Published in Paperback by McGraw-Hill/Contemporary Books (March, 1999)
Average review score:

Barebone physics presented for best learning and retentionRegular physics texts are extraordinarily heavy and unnecessarily over written. Student needs are only basic and fundamental. This book clearly has students in mind and understands the shortcomings of the general students.

A Picture Book of Frederick Douglass (Picture Book Biography)
Published in School & Library Binding by Holiday House (March, 1993)
Average review score:

A Picture Book of Frederick DouglassA great book with which to incorporate children's literature with social studies instruction. Political Science is just one discipline of the social studies and as such can be taught effectively in early childhood classrooms. Books like this one about Frederick Douglass demonstrate how individuals sought to secure rights for all people and were willing to violate unjust laws in the process.

Playing the Guitar
Published in Paperback by Music Sales Corp (October, 1997)
Average review score:

A Tresure House of KnowlegeI own (and still study) the first edition of this book. It was first published in 1963. It was a tresure then as it is now. A well writen book is never outdated. This is a book that every guitar player, beginer or experienced needs in his library. Bad habits are easily picked up and hard to loose. This book helps keep one on the path.

Pohlstars
Published in Hardcover by Orion Publishing Co (31 December, 1986)
Average review score:

Great short-story format Science FictionGreat short story Science Fiction, especially the 75 page "Sweet, Sad Queen of the Grazing Isles." The "Forward" of the novel is interesting as well, detailing a trip to China a year earlier (1983?) where he was able to meet with Chinese Science Fiction authors.
